Newcastle United have not reportedly made advances to sign Feyenoord’s £30million-rated Anis Hadj Moussa this summer. It is also claimed that the Magpies could be set to 'hand millions back' to Arsenal with Joe Willock nearing a move to Besiktas.
It has been another difficult summer at St. James' Park. The Geordie side have seen the departures of key players, including winger Anthony Gordon to Barcelona, midfielder Sandro Tonali to Tottenham Hotspur and club captain Bruno Guimaraes, who jumped ship to join Arsenal.
Those exits have also come amid Eddie Howe's shock exit just weeks before the new Premier League season starts on August 21. New Magpies boss Matthias Jaissle now faces a tough task to restore confidence and belief in a struggling club.
With all that said, below are some of the latest transfer reports around Newcastle...
Hadj Moussa claim 'not true'
Recent reports from Sky Sports France have claimed that Newcastle and Aston Villa have held discussions with winger Hadj Moussa.
It is claimed that he has decided to move away from Feyenoord, but has rejected interest from Al-Qadsiah and Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia with a transfer to the Premier League his priority. It is said that the Dutch club are demanding €35m (£30m) for his services.
However, Maghreb-Foot claim that no offer has been made by Newcastle. The player's agent, Mohamed Dahmane, insists that his client will still leave the Eredivisie side this summer.
He said: "Anis Hadj Moussa will play for another team, God willing."

Joe Willock transfer exit latest
Willock has reportedly been the subject of a series of bids from Turkish giants Besiktas, with a £10m offer for his services snubbed by Newcastle earlier this month. The former Arsenal midfielder is now in the final 12 months of his contract at St. James' Park and the Magpies are looking to cash in.
But Newcastle would be set to lose millions on the deal with Arsenal having a sell-on clause in his contract, reported to be around 20%. Willock has made 168 appearances for Newcastle, scoring 11 goals since leaving the Emirates Stadium.

Marseille owners 'left furious'
Newcastle are reportedly exploring other options after a move for Marseille midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg broke down on Monday. The Denmark international had been identified as the experienced organiser who suited the plans of new boss Matthias Jaissle, and talks had initially gone well.
However, the Daily Mail claim he changed his mind over the deal. It is also said that Marseille's owners have been left furious by this change of heart.
It is claimed that the French club were keen to raise funds for their own summer spending, and provisionally agreed to sell the Dane to Newcastle before a move fell through.
