Chelsea signing Myles Lewis-Skelly from their London rivals Arsenal is something that Joe Cole is very likely to be on board with.
As of now, it does not look like the defender will be heading to Stamford Bridge.
It is thought that Chelsea have turned down the opportunity to sign Lewis-Skelly after being offered the 19-year-old.
Nevertheless, Cole is a huge fan of Lewis-Skelly and explained why on a podcast back in the 2024/25 season.

Cole likes Lewis-Skelly’s “feistiness”, which he displayed after copying Erling Haaland’s celebration during one match between Arsenal and Manchester City.
Speaking about the England international on The Dressing Room Podcast last year, Cole said: “Myles Lewis-Skelly, who I think is brilliant, I love his feistiness, his attitude. He looks like a top player. But he’s done the Erling Haaland celebration! That’s cold. He knew what he was doing… that’s cold.”
While Cole is a fan of Lewis-Skelly’s feistiness, that is not the only thing that he would have brought to Stamford Bridge.

Lewis-Skelly is a strong and physical footballer who can play in more than one position. The Arsenal star has spent the majority of his career operating in the left-back role, but he is also very comfortable in midfield.
In fact, Lewis-Skelly started there for Arsenal in last season’s Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
Much to the delight of Chelsea supporters, the Gunners lost on penalties that night, but Lewis-Skelly still managed to put in a performance that he can be proud of.
The Arsenal academy product stood his ground despite having to go up against a midfield trio of Vitinha, Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz. During the 2025/26 campaign, there was not a better engine room on the planet.
That did not faze Lewis-Skelly, though, who was brave in the middle of the park and did not let the occasion get to him.
Interestingly, Chelsea have also been linked with Ruiz recently, but whether they decide to bring in another midfielder or not could hinge on the future of Enzo Fernandez.
