Chelsea have completed the signing of Pep Chavarria from La Liga side Rayo Vallecano.
Chavarria becomes the latest arrival at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea finalised a deal for the Spaniard.
After weeks of negotiations, Xabi Alonso has now got his preferred left-back option, which sees Chavarria replace Marc Cucurella, who departed for Real Madrid earlier this summer.
He bolsters the left side of defence, with Jorrel Hato and Malo Gusto both able to play left-back. Gusto's future remains unclear amid a £75 million asking price for the France international.
Chavarria joins Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha, Marco Palestra, Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix, Jordan Henderson, Danny Welbeck and Valentin Barco, all of whom have been signed this summer.
Alonso and Chelsea's efforts to reshape the defence are ongoing. With Chavarria's acquisition, they can now start to focus solely on outgoings to trim the squad and help balance the books.

Departures need to be finalised for Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile, while Mamadou Sarr and Aaron Anselmino could both go on loan. Trevoh Chalobah has joined Como this summer, ending an almost 20-year stay in west London.
Alonso has already confirmed he wants four or five centre-backs heading into the new season, with Chelsea only playing in domestic competitions next season after failing to qualify for Europe.
Despite a 10th-placed finish last season, it hasn't stopped Chelsea from being active in the market, and Chavarria represents the continued shift to bringing in more experience to complement the younger talent to offer balance across the squad.

When Pep Chavarria could make his first Chelsea appearance
The 28-year-old joins following the conclusion of Chelsea's pre-season tour of Australia and Asia. All of his teammates have now returned to Cobham. His first unofficial appearance could come against Real Sociedad in the final pre-season friendly on August 15 at Stamford Bridge, should Alonso deem him ready to play.
