Bradley Barcola's potential transfer to Liverpool continues to move closer, as several pieces have fallen in place for a deal to go ahead this summer.

The Reds have been heavily linked with the 23-year-old throughout the transfer window, but with the understanding that any move could be complicated to facilitate.

However, as the weeks have passed, the dominoes have started to fall, with Barcola kicking off the process by making it clear that he wanted a new challenge for the future.

That has led to PSG being open to a sale, with just two years left on the winger's contract, with the hope that it can maximize his valuation while he still has plenty of time left on his deal.

With that in place, Barcola has seemingly reacted positively to Liverpool's interest, and with talks getting underway, the next phase of the transfer is underway.

There remains a gap in valuation between the two teams, with the Reds trying to get as low a price as possible, while PSG is trying to land a big fee to help reinvest in the roster.

That reinvestment is already underway, with Maghnes Akliouche signed from AS Monaco, while a move for Mika Godts from Ajax is also on the cards.

On top of that is a deal for Ferran Torres, as The Athletic reports that PSG is close to sealing an agreement with Barcelona for the versatile forward, who is now in the final year of his contract at the Nou Camp.

It's a move that further strengthens the forward line for the European champions, adding a quality option for depth after an impressive summer, where he scored the winner for Spain in the World Cup final.

The 26-year-old is one of three expected arrivals up front for PSG, which should help free up an exit for Barcola in the transfer market, with Liverpool still actively pursuing the move.

There is still work to be done in getting a deal over the line, but the influx of forwards points towards an expected exit for the French international, and with so much money already invested, it could be a bargaining chip for Liverpool to use.

It's a deal that not only impacts Liverpool's approach to Barcola, but it could also make waves in the case of Ibrahim Mbaye, who is facing an uncertain future with PSG.

The Reds have been linked with the winger, who is also expected to leave Les Parisiens, in what could end up being an impressive double swoop for the Merseyside outfit.

It remains to be seen just how both cases develop, but all things point towards something that can be done for Liverpool in the final few weeks of the market.
