Chelsea are willing to entertain loan offers for winger Mykhailo Mudryk following his return to competitive football, according to football.london.
There is considerable interest in the Ukrainian ahead of the new season, with at least three Premier League clubs having made enquiries. Coventry City are among those English top-flight sides keen on securing his services, with manager Frank Lampard having a prior working relationship with Mudryk during their time together at Stamford Bridge.
French side Strasbourg is also a potential destination, with Chelsea able to send one further player on loan to their sister club following the moves of Genesis Antwi and Filip Jorgensen. FIFA regulations stipulate that no more than three players can be loaned from one club to another at any given time.
New addition Dastan Satpayev could also be bound for the French outfit.
Late last month, the FA confirmed that Mudryk was free to resume his career with Chelsea after disciplinary proceedings against the Ukrainian were concluded. The 25-year-old has been absent from competitive football since November 2024, having tested positive for meldonium.
However, WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) subsequently revised the scientific reporting standards used by accredited anti-doping laboratories when testing samples for the substance.
In short: had Mudryk's situation occurred today, he would not have faced a suspension. Although Mudryk has been absent from competitive football since November 2024, the Chelsea winger did feature as a substitute in the Blues' final three matches of their recently concluded pre-season tour.
Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso confirmed last week that his future at the club remained unresolved.
Alonso said: "No decision made. We need to assess, he is a special player but it is a special case so we need to be sensitive."
New recruit Morgan Rogers is currently Chelsea's first-choice option on the left wing. Jamie Gittens and Geovany Quenda, both of whom caught the eye during pre-season, are also capable of operating on that flank. Pedro Neto, who is available for sale for the right price this summer, offers versatility across both wings.
