Arsenal could bank around £9million if Tottenham complete a shock move for former Gunners striker Folarin Balogun, with the north London rivals reportedly opening discussions with Monaco.
Tottenham have stepped up their interest in the United States international as they consider attacking additions before the transfer window closes.
According to French outlet L’Equipe, Spurs have laid the groundwork for discussions over Balogun, with Monaco’s valuation reported to be around €60million (£51m).
That potential deal would have a significant knock-on effect for Arsenal.

Arsenal could land huge Folarin Balogun windfall
Arsenal sold Balogun to Monaco in 2023 for around £34million after he struggled to establish himself under Mikel Arteta.
Crucially, the Gunners protected themselves against the striker increasing in value.
The London Standard previously confirmed that Arsenal inserted a 17.5 per cent sell-on clause into the agreement with Monaco.
A transfer worth roughly £51million could therefore generate close to £9million for Arsenal, depending on the final structure and value of any agreement.

Tottenham’s involvement adds another dimension.
Balogun developed at Hale End before leaving Arsenal in search of regular first-team football. He enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign with Monaco, scoring 19 goals across all competitions and increasing his transfer value.
Talks remain at an early stage and there is no agreement between Tottenham and Monaco.
However, should Arsenal’s rivals eventually meet Monaco’s demands, the Gunners could find themselves receiving a sizeable transfer payment without having to sell a single member of Arteta’s current squad.
