The Dallas Cowboys shared a joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams at their California facility this week ahead of their preseason opener, with Dak Prescott seemingly offering a wager to his rivals.
The joint session appeared to get chippy as the players were heard shouting back and forth at one another, with Prescott having words for the Rams contingent.
The quarterback was heard stating: "Tell them bet the clocks on today. Winner takes the f------ clocks. We’ll steal their s--- They ain’t ready for that bet." According to multiple reports, both offenses struggled greatly in the practice session with the Rams and Cowboys defensive units having multiple sacks and turnovers. It comes after the Minnesota Vikings named Kyler Murray over JJ McCarthy as their starting quarterback.
Rams quarterback Matt Stafford wants to see his players stay out of any preseason clashes, despite being a known trash talker himself once the games come around.
He told reporters: “We don’t game plan for any of this. We just go out there and play, play our rules, see how they hold up.

"There’s going to be things to learn, things to correct, but it’s a good chance to go compete to see what else is out there. Dallas is a really talented football team.
"Over the last 12 months, have really accumulated a lot of really good defensive players as well. So, it’s been fun for us to go out there and work against those guys, see something new, and just kind of turn your brain on to something a little bit different. Go out there and compete.
"I love doing these. I enjoyed the work with these guys. Feel like we practiced against Dallas, maybe, every year I’ve been here. Always good work with those guys. So, appreciate it."

The Cowboys will travel north from Los Angeles to head to the Pacific Northwest where they take on the Seattle Seahawks in their preseason opener, while the Rams will travel to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Dallas' offense and Prescott had issues against the Rams defensive line that had been without both Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald.
Garrett is being held out of practice with a minor injury, while Donald has seemingly yet to decide as to whether he will return to the NFL.
One of the greatest NFL players of all-time, Donald retired after the 2023 season, but has mulled a return amid the team's mega-trade for Garrett - who could form the greatest defensive line in NFL history.
