Serie A champions Inter Milan have reached an agreement in principle for Davide Frattesi
Lazio and Inter have reached an agreement in principle for Davide Frattesi, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The two Serie A clubs had been working on the transfer for several days before finalising terms.

The deal is structured as an onerous loan with an option to buy. That option becomes an obligation if certain conditions are met.
Inter will also keep a significant percentage of any future resale of the midfielder. The clause protects the Nerazzurri’s investment should Frattesi’s value rise at Lazio.
Frattesi joined Inter from Sassuolo in the summer of 2023. He has made 122 appearances across all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing 12 assists.
During his time in Milan, he won two Serie A titles, an Italian Super Cup and a Coppa Italia. He also scored decisive goals in the Champions League against Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Lazio have followed the 26-year-old for some time, and reports in Italy suggest he has already given his approval to the move with Di Marzio confirming the reports. Juventus had also monitored his situation but are now understood to be out of the running.
There is more to this story for Liverpool supporters than a domestic Italian transfer.
Inter have identified Curtis Jones as a priority midfield target this summer, and their business with Lazio is tied directly to that pursuit.
Inter believe departures for Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani are necessary before they can make their decisive move for Jones.
The Nerazzurri have already tested Liverpool’s resolve.
Two formal offers have been rejected, with an informal bid of around €32 million turned down and a further approach worth €35 million falling short of the club’s valuation.
Liverpool value Jones at upwards of €40 million, with Fabrizio Romano reporting this morning that Inter Milan could get him at a reduced fee compared to Liverpool’s original request of €40m.
Jones has one year left on his contract, and manager Cristian Chivu has been keen on signing him for several months, reportedly dating back to January.
With Frattesi’s exit now agreed, Inter gain both financial room and a vacancy in midfield.
That combination is expected to sharpen their approach for Jones as the transfer window enters its final weeks.
