‘Here we go soon’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms big Liverpool transfer blow

Liverpool have a lot of work to do in the transfer market between now and the end of the month.

In terms of incomings, the Reds remain locked in talks with PSG for Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye.

They surely need more bodies in attack as Mohamed Salah isn’t at the club anymore, while Hugo Ekitike is no closer to returning from his Achilles injury.

Ferran Torres was linked with a move to Liverpool earlier this summer, and his stardom has gone through the roof in recent weeks after his winner at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

And now, it appears as if he won’t be moving to Anfield as PSG have stolen the march on his signature.

Liverpool target Ferran Torres joining PSG

Torres was also mentioned as a target for Tottenham as his contract with Barcelona runs out next year.

PSG, though, have moved decisively to secure his signature, with Romano saying a ‘here we go’ is expected soon.

🚨🔴🔵 EXCL: Ferran Torres, NOT scheduled to show up at Barça training tomorrow.

Talks for his move at Paris Saint-Germain are at final stages.

All parties agree on avoiding training for 1-2 days as PSG are expected to close Ferran deal with Barça after the Super Cup.

The silver lining for Liverpool is that if PSG snap up the Spaniard, they may agree to soften their stance on Barcola and Mbaye, which would allow the pair to move to Anfield.
