Gabriel Jesus could make a transfer move to the Turkish League this summer. As per recent news, Besiktas have approached the Arsenal player for the next season.

After signing Leandro Trossard for the next season, Besiktas aim to bring another player from Arsenal, as reported by Metro. The Turkish club aim to secure the services of the 29-year-old Jesus for the next season. Interestingly, Besiktas aren’t the only club interested in the Brazilian striker. Napoli have also shown their interest in Jesus for the next season.
Jesus joined the Gunners in 2022. The Brazilian was signed for £45 million in July 2022. Before that, he was part of Manchester City. He played for the club from 2017 to 2022. Previously, he played for Palmeiras from 2015 to 2017.

Will the Gunners retain Jesus for next season?
Jesus’ contract with the Gunners will expire next year. He couldn’t perform up to the expectations in the 2025-26 season. That is why Arsenal aren’t too keen on retaining him for the next season. Jesus struggled to leave an impact last year, especially in the Premier League.
The Brazilian striker scored only three goals throughout the League. Apart from that, he didn’t play well at the Champions League either. As such, even if the Gunners wanted to, chances of retaining Jesus for the next season remain unlikely. That is why Besiktas have renewed their interest in the Arsenal striker.

Jesus is preparing for the next season. He is also recovering from a major injury he sustained in early 2025. The Brazilian striker got a serious ACL injury in January 2025 during the FA Cup match with Manchester United. This kept him out of action for almost a year. His multiple injuries were also a major reason why the Gunners decided to let him out for a transfer deal this summer.
Due to his limited time in international **football**last year, Jesus couldn’t even make it to the Brazil team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, he is not too disappointed by it. He is hopeful of a better performance next season. Apart from that, the Brazilian player was once a part of the U23 team that won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He was also part of the team that finished runners-up in the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup held in New Zealand.
Arsenal enjoyed a dream run last year, which culminated in a historic Premier League title after 22 years. Naturally, manager Mikel Arteta would like to maintain the same momentum in the 2026-27 season. The club are already signing players one after the another. If he joins the Turkish Super Lig, he can show that injuries cannot determine the true worth of any player.
