Christian Kofane Arsenal transfer speculation has intensified again after the Bayer Leverkusen striker addressed his future while his agent claimed Mikel Arteta is a major admirer.
Kofane has been monitored by Arsenal after impressing during his breakthrough campaign in Germany, including against the Gunners in the Champions League.
His representative Eric Depolo has previously confirmed contact with Arsenal and suggested Arteta’s side are well placed in the race for the Cameroon international.
However, Kofane himself is taking a much more measured approach to his future.

Speaking to German publication Kicker, via the London Standard, Kofane admitted that playing in the Premier League appeals to him.
The 20-year-old nevertheless made clear that he is happy at Bayer Leverkusen and does not feel the need to rush his next career move.
Kofane said he wants to progress “step by step” and added that he still has “big plans” with Leverkusen.
Those comments contrast slightly with the bullish stance taken by Depolo.
The agent has claimed Arsenal’s interest is genuine and that Arteta “likes him very much”, while placing a huge €100million (£85m) valuation on his client. He also suggested Arsenal could be in pole position, although admitted it remains too early to definitively name a frontrunner.
Arsenal have been linked with several attacking additions during the final weeks of the window. ReadArsenal reported earlier on Wednesday that Liverpool potentially stepping away from Bradley Barcola could hand the Gunners a major opening.
Kofane would represent a different profile. He is younger and less established, while Leverkusen’s true asking price remains unclear despite the considerably higher figure suggested by his agent.
His latest comments suggest Arsenal should not expect the striker to force his way out of Germany.
But with Arteta reportedly keen and contact already established, Kofane remains a name to watch before the transfer window closes.
