Jonas Brothers to Headline Halftime Show at First 2026 NFL Melbourne Game: ‘Incredible Honor’

The Jonas Brothers will perform during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground

The halftime show will air live on Netflix on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at 10:35 a.m. AEST

The event marks a historic moment for the NFL and features the band’s biggest hits and global appeal

Who’s ready for a Jonas Brothers halftime show?

On Wednesday, Aug. 12, the NFL announced the “Sucker” band will headline the halftime show during the first 2026 NFL Melbourne Game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams.

“We couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia,” said the Jonas Brothers in a statement about the performance, which airs live from the Melbourne Cricket Ground via Netflix at 10:35 a.m. AEST on Friday, Sept. 11.

“Playing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of such passionate Australian fans is an incredible honor,” continued the band. “We can’t wait to be part of this historic moment and celebrate with everyone in the stadium and watching around the world.”

Tim Tubito, senior director of global game presentation and entertainment at the NFL, said in a statement, “Bringing the first-ever NFL regular season game to Australia is a landmark moment for the league, and we are committed to creating an entertainment experience that reflects the scale and significance of the occasion.”

Tubito added, “The Jonas Brothers are global entertainers whose music connects across generations, making them the ideal artists to help us celebrate this historic game in Melbourne. We look forward to delivering a memorable halftime performance for our fans in Australia and those watching around the world.”

Charlotte Offord, NFL general manager for Australia and New Zealand, said in a statement, “The Jonas Brothers are global superstars with an incredible ability to bring people together through music, making them the perfect addition to Australia’s first-ever regular season NFL game.”

Offord continued, “We’re building an unforgettable experience for fans, and having an internationally renowned act like the Jonas Brothers perform at halftime reinforces the scale and significance of this historic event. We can’t wait to welcome our fans from across Australia and beyond for a truly world-class celebration of sport and entertainment.”

Anthony Carbines, Victorian Minister for Major Events, said in a statement, “Melbourne will showcase the very best Victoria has to offer to tens of millions of viewers around the world. Epic events like the NFL cement Victoria as the sporting and cultural capital of Australia, and support thousands of jobs across the state.”

While it’s unclear what the Jonas Brothers’ halftime show will entail, fans can likely expect to hear some of the band’s biggest hits like “Burnin’ Up” and “Sucker.” The trio’s most recent album, Greetings from Your Hometown, was released in August 2025.

The Jonas Brothers’ upcoming NFL halftime show will arrive after Nick, Joe and Kevin form the fictional band Connect 3 once again for Camp Rock 3, which premieres Aug. 13 on Disney Channel and streams on Disney+ the following day.

Additionally, the trio is gearing up to revive their 2008 Burnin’ Up Tour for three shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Aug. 20, 21 and 22.
