The Cleveland Browns still have yet to determine who their starting quarterback will be for the upcoming season. At training camp, the majority of the first-team reps have gone to veteran quarterback Deshaun Watson, while rising second-year man Shedeur Sanders also competes for the job.

Recently, Sanders weighed in on his mindset as Watson gets most of the starter reps.

“We were informed the right way, so there was never a miscommunication between us. I just don't appreciate sometimes if things happen, and y'all just jump on the coach, like he's tripping or something… I hope we're all here to want to win and be a team,” he said, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Sanders started down the stretch of last season after the Browns had already cycled through both Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel, and he ended up having some impressive moments while also making mistakes that one might expect of a rookie playing alongside one of the least-talented rosters in the NFL landscape.

This offseason, the Browns have made some changes, including parting ways with head coach Kevin Stefanski and bringing in Todd Monken to fill the role. Most fans seem to want Sanders to start at quarterback this year, thanks both to his national popularity as well as his youth and potential for growth, although the large amount of money that the team has tied to Watson could certainly play a factor in the decision.

If nothing else, Sanders should get plenty of reps when the preseason gets underway on Saturday against the Chicago Bears on the road at 1:00 pm ET. Meanwhile, Cleveland's regular season is set to begin on September 13 on the road vs the Jacksonville Jaguars.
