Arsenal could finally be on the verge of breaking the record for a club sale after Turksih Super Lig side Galatasaray submitted a £38.4m offer for Gabriel Martinelli.
Sky Germany claim the Turkish side have now tabled an opening offer for the Brazilian winger, with the Gunners set to mull over the approach.
Mikel Arteta's side have already sold Leandro Trossard to Turkish club Besiktas and could have a complete new look left-hand side of their attack.
They've signed Christos Tzolis to replace the Belgian international, but the club want to bolster that area of the pitch, which could pave the way for Martinelli's exit.
The Gunners boss has not hidden his desire to strengthen his squad this summer, having been linked with Morgan Rogers, Bradley Barcola and Vinicius Junior.
As things stand, they're yet to bring in a blockbuster signing, but have several transfer targets.

It's unclear whether they'll allow Martinelli to leave before sourcing a replacement, but if the 25-year-old does leave the club, it looks set to be for a club-record fee.

The reported offer, would eclipse the current record-sale, which saw Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain move to Liverpool for £35m in 2019.
Martinelli is reportedly Galatasaray's 'top priority' this summer, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Turkish giants have also been linked with a move for AC Milan forward Rafael Leao, who looks set to leave the San Siro this summer.
The Portuguese winger had been tentatively linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Manchester United among the teams touted as possible destinations.
However, as things stand, the Gunners have their eyes on other targets.
