Jeremy Jacquet was back in Liverpool training on Wednesday ahead of his first appearance of pre-season, while Curtis Jones returned after a slight hip issue.
The Reds are working hard in preparation for the new Premier League season, with the trip to Newcastle just 10 days away.
Before that come two friendlies against Como at Anfield on Sunday (12pm and 6pm BST), giving Andoni Iraola another chance to gauge the fitness of his squad.
On Wednesday, Liverpool received a major boost, as Jacquet trained alongside his new teammates.
It is the first time that the Frenchman has featured since his summer move from Rennes, following a lengthy absence with a shoulder injury.

Also present on Wednesday was Curtis Jones, with the 25-year-old missing last weekend’s 4-2 defeat to Monaco with a hip issue.
Rumours surrounding Jones’ future aren’t going away, and new reports now claim that Liverpool are willing to lower their asking price for him.
While €40 million (£34.2m) has been the fee generally mooted of late, €35 million (£29.9m) could now be enough for Inter Milan to get their man.
Elsewhere, Alexis Mac Allister is finding his feet again after a richly deserved post-World Cup holiday, and he trained as well.

Liverpool will be desperate to see the Argentine back to his best this season, following such an underwhelming 2026/27 campaign.
New loan signing Ronald Araujo was present, too, as he and Jacquet battle to be Virgil van Dijk‘s centre-back partner for the Newcastle game.
But there was no sign of Joe Gomez, Stefan Bajcetic and Giovanni Leoni, with Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike other long-term absentees alongside the latter.

Leoni’s return from ACL damage isn’t expected in the near future, but there is hope that he will be back in the fold in September.
All in all, Liverpool look in finer fettle than they have done at other points in the summer, but that’s not to say that improvements aren’t needed.
Recent pre-season friendly performances have been patchy, while several more signings are required to give Iraola the requisite squad depth.
