As former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold looks for his next NFL home, he paid a visit to the New Orleans Saints. Head coach Kellen Moore and company are willing to turn over any rock if they think it'll help improve the franchise.
Still, there's no guarantee Arnold ends up signing with the Saints. He has visited numerous other franchise as well. Furthermore, New Orleans is still collecting all the information necessary to make an Arnold signing come to fruition, via New Orleans.Football.
“Collecting as much information as we can,” Moore said.
“Obviously there's an outside of football part of this that has to be added to this, but I felt like we had a good visit,” he added.
Arnold was arrested earlier this offseason for kidnapping and robbery. While he was released on bail, his legal situation is far from over. The cornerback is able to make the rounds and search out a new team. But depending on the punishment levvied by the legal system, NFL or both, having Arnold be a consistent contributor throughout 2026 may be difficult.
Still, the cornerback's play over his two years in Detroit has caught New Orleans' attention. Through his 24 games with the Lions, Arnold put up 91 tackles, 18 passes defended and an interception. While the Saints finished fourth in pass defense during the 2025 season, allowing 179.2 yards per game, that doesn't mean Arnold can't help their secondary.
Until his legal issues are resolved, the cornerback's status remains murky. But the Saints, amongst others, are still interested in what Arnold has to offer.
