Ravens Rumors: Baltimore Likely to Trade $36M WR During 2026 Season

After missing a second consecutive practice at training camp, the latest Baltimore Ravens rumors and projections could be boosted, leading to a Rashod Bateman trade. The former first-round pick is coming off his worst season as a receiver, recording 19 receptions for 224 yards and 2 touchdowns, averaging 11.8 yards per catch, while playing in only 13 matchups. Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox projects that the Ravens should make the receiver available on the trade block, and after the latest news, it could be sensible. However, earlier this offseason, Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta believes this isn’t the end of the pass-catcher’s tenure:

“Last year was just kind of a lost season in some ways, but that’s no indication of the type of player that we think he is and how he can help us,” DeCosta told 105.7 The Fan (h/t ProFootballTalk’s Michael Davis Smith).

The confidence might be there, but the top pick has been mysteriously missing practice this offseason, most recently this past week. There’s no indication of what could be holding the receiver back from participating, but a Baltimore Sun reporter, Brian Wacker, saw Bateman on an exercise bike while watching practice from afar.

New Weapons for Lamar Jackson

In the 2026 draft, the Ravens selected former USC product Ja’Kobi Lane in the third round. He’s reportedly ‘turning’ heads at practice, and has a chance to be WR2 alongside Zay Flowers. Meanwhile, Flowers inked a new long-term extension to stay in Baltimore, which already raised questions about Bateman’s future. However, the former 2021 NFL Draft selection’s deal doesn’t expire until after the 2029 season.

He recently signed a new three-year contract after receiving trade interest from the Dallas Cowboys. Before that, he had already inked a two-year extension, but the Ravens were confident that he was the future of this receiving unit. Unfortunately, the former Minnesota product hasn’t been able to live up to expectations. While they didn’t add a veteran pass-catcher, they reunited with journeyman Chris Moore via free agency.

Lane and DeVontez Walker are positioned to receive extra snaps if Bateman can’t go. With his injury status a mystery, he could generate some type of interest during the 2026 season.
