Alexis Mac Allister, back from his post-World Cup break, and new signing Ronald Araujo were involved in training as Liverpool continued their preparations for the 2026-27 season on Wednesday.
Araujo joined the Reds on loan from Barcelona on Monday and took part in his first training session with his new teammates. Mac Allister, who returned to pre-season earlier this week, also trained.

Jeremy Jacquet and Curtis Jones were also involved after missing last weekend’s defeat to AS Monaco. Jacquet is yet to make his first pre-season appearance since joining from Rennes after recovering from a shoulder injury, while Jones missed the Monaco clash with a minor hip issue.
Liverpool are preparing for a friendly double-header against Como at Anfield on Sunday, with kick-offs scheduled for 12pm and 6pm BST. The fixtures will give Andoni Iraola another opportunity to assess his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
However, there was no sign of defender Joe Gomez, Stefan Bajcetic, Jayden Danns or Giovanni Leoni during the main session. Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike remain long-term absentees.
Bajcetic worked separately from the main group and is not expected to feature against Como. Danns, meanwhile, is nearing a return after suffering an injury at the start of pre-season.
According to The Athletic, Bajcetic and Danns are likely to feature for the under-21s to build up their fitness, alongside young prospects Josh Sonni-Lambie, Josh Abe and Mor Talla Ndiaye.
During his absence, Danns was replaced in the first-team squad by Lewis Koumas, Will Wright and Josh Sonni-Lambie, who travelled to Chicago, Nashville and New York during pre-season.
Danns made five senior appearances after breaking through under Jurgen Klopp in 2023-24, adding four more the following season before injuries disrupted his progress. Last season, he made just one first-team appearance and four for the under-21s.
Stefan Bajcetic has also been hampered by injuries since breaking through during the 2022-23 season. He made 19 appearances during a loan spell with Red Bull Salzburg before joining Las Palmas for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.
Bajcetic racked up 14 appearances and scored once for Las Palmas before returning to Liverpool ahead of the 2025-26 season.
