Any chances of Miles Lewis-Skelly joining Chelsea have been put to bed by the Arsenal man himself.

There were recent rumours that Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly had been offered to Chelsea for around £45 million. Following their heavy £75 million investment in Bruno Guimaraes, the Gunners explored selling the teenager to balance their books.

However, it then came out that Lewis-Skelly didn’t want to leave the Emirates in order to fight for his place in North London.

Nobody really knew what to believe, but Chelsea signing Pep Chavarria seems to put an end to it.

Miles Lewis-Skelly reaffirms his Arsenal stance

Myles Lewis-Skelly delivered a standout performance starting in central midfield against Como, driving Arsenal’s tempo with sharp pressing and composure on the ball.

In the 33rd minute, he intercepted goalkeeper Jean Butez’s weak clearance and calmly slotted home the opening goal. During his celebration, the 19-year-old made a heart gesture to the crowd before repeatedly tapping the Arsenal badge on his shirt, a firm response to ongoing transfer rumors.

He remained active, pressing high and threatening again before being substituted in the 61st minute.

Where would Lewis Miles-Skelly have fit at Chelsea?

On paper, Myles Lewis-Skelly looks like a tailor-made fit for Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard loves versatile, press-resistant players who can drift seamlessly between left-back and central midfield.

But Chelsea’s real issue isn’t quality, it’s crowding. The Blues are already completely stacked in central midfield, which is where Lewis-Skelly has been doing his best work lately.

The likes of Valentin Barco, Romeo Lavia, Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Dario Essugo, Jordan Henderson and Reece James are all fighting for just two spots.
