Spadaro: Elijah Moore continues to make the most out of Training Camp

Elijah Moore looks at every one of his NFL experiences as a positive for his life. Learning lessons. He signed with the Eagles as an unrestricted free agent after playing two seasons with the Jets, two with Cleveland, and 2025 with the Bills and Broncos. This is the path he has taken in the league, a trajectory that has had its fits and starts.

All for the good, Moore says.

"One hundred percent," Moore said. "As much people say that they would change it, I wouldn't, because of the man I think that it's made me to be. There's a lot that I've gotten to learn, you know, about myself, correct about myself, that I don't know how else it would have got challenged if it wasn't for football."

He is in a roster battle here in a crowded and talented wide receiver room and Moore understands that his past – a second-round draft pick in 2021 from the University of Mississippi, 120 receptions in two seasons with the Browns, a 2025 campaign that included being released by Buffalo before joining Denver for a postseason run – is behind him and the focus is on presenting the best version of himself in Philadelphia.

That includes the preseason, three critical games for players like Moore who know the margin error is slim. He has played well in Training Camp and Saturday night in Baltimore will be another chance to show what he can do in this offense.

"I'm super critical of myself, so I always think that there's so much improvement that I could do with my alignment, my assignment, hearing the play, execution," Moore said. "But am I making the most of my opportunities? Yeah. But are there still opportunities that I'm leaving out there? Yeah ... I always want to be perfect, as perfect as I can, especially since I've been in this offense before, knowing the nuances and some of the details. It's more about fine-tuning it, making sure I can be as perfect as possible."
