Chelsea enquire about £43m midfielder wanted by Liverpool and Man Utd
Chelsea have reportedly made an enquiry for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara as they consider another move to strengthen Xabi Alonso’s squad.
The 22-year-old has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs following an impressive spell in France, with Liverpool and Manchester United also monitoring his situation.
According to Foot Mercato, Chelsea have now joined the race and are particularly keen on Camara’s profile.
Monaco are understood to value the Senegal international at around €50million, which is roughly £43m.
🚨 Man Utd are considering a move for Lamine Camara.

Chelsea join Lamine Camara transfer race
Chelsea’s interest comes with one important condition.
Foot Mercato reports that the Blues may first need to move one or two midfielders out before making a serious push for Camara.
That makes the timing particularly interesting given the uncertainty surrounding Enzo Fernandez.
ReadChelsea reported earlier on Thursday that Manchester City face a decision over Fernandez after Chelsea set a £120m valuation and Friday cut-off for any deal.
There is no suggestion yet that Camara has specifically been identified as a replacement for Fernandez, so Chelsea’s interest should be treated separately for now.
Competition for the Monaco midfielder is already significant.
Crystal Palace have made an offer, while Liverpool and Manchester United are also tracking Camara. Monaco have shown little appetite to lower their valuation as they look to keep one of their key midfielders.
Camara remains under contract until 2029 and made 30 appearances last season, registering one goal and four assists.
Chelsea have only made an enquiry at this stage, but his name is now another to watch as Alonso’s midfield picture develops during the final weeks of the window.
