Galatasaray are pursuing a deal for Arsenal‘s Gabriel Martinelli this summer.
The Istanbul club had initially identified AC Milan’s Rafael Leão as their main target for the left-wing position. He hasn’t been keen on a move to Turkey, and his price has also been a concern for Galatasaray.
This has seen the Süper Lig winners shift their focus to the Arsenal player.
On Wednesday, Sport Witness covered claims from Turkey that Galatasaray making an official offer to sign the 25-year-old and Ethan Nwaneri.
They are in advanced negotiations with the Brazil international and started talks with his teammate. The discussions are also underway with the Premier League winners.

Gabriel Martinelli’s contract expires in 2027, with an option for another year. However, the Gunners are looking to get rid of him.
Earlier today, we relayed news Mikel Arteta’s side have already offered him to several clubs. The Premier League winners are reluctant to sell him for less than €50m.
Çınar now claims Galatasaray have offered €45m while Arsenal are requesting €60m.
“Arsenal are asking for €60m for Martinelli. Galatasaray’s latest offer is €45m,” he said.
Agent at work for Arsenal exit
Victor Osimhen first arrived at the Turkish club from Napoli on loan in 2024 and made his stay permanent a year later. Agent George Gardi acted as an intermediary for this deal.
According to Yakup Çınar, Galatasaray have tasked Gardi to lead their negotiations with Arsenal for Gabriel Martinelli.
“George Gardi, having received authorisation, has started serious negotiations with Arsenal,” Çınar explained.
What seems certain now is that the 25-year-old South American has no future at the Emirates.
