Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly in discussions over a transfer fee as the Gunners look to do a deal barely one week before the Premier League season starts

Arsenal are said to have reached an agreement with Vincent Joseph to sign the 16-year-old Liverpool forward.
Both clubs are now reportedly discussing a transfer fee. A tribunal would decide what compensation the Gunners must pay if they are unable to agree a deal because Vincent is under 24 years old.
The last senior player to swap clubs was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain almost a decade ago, in a £35million deal that remains Arsenal's record sale. Jimmy Carter was the most recent player to do the opposite, joining the Gunners in 1991 during the First Division's final season before becoming the Premier League.
Joseph now appears set to follow in his footsteps. The Athletic are reporting that he has not signed scholarship terms with the Reds after his schoolboy registration contract expired this summer.
Therefore, the teenager can move in exchange for training compensation. Axel Donczew and Mylo Bernard are two other 16-year-olds who are reportedly set to sign for the Gunners soon from Cardiff City and Crystal Palace, respectively, in similar circumstances.
Elijah Upson has already joined Arsenal from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, signing a professional contract last month. Mishel Nduka, meanwhile, is said to have left the Gunners for Manchester City.
