**Liverpool have made a few changes to their squad this summer, but between now and the transfer window slamming shut, Andoni Iraola has a few important decisions to make.**
After Ronald Araujo’s loan signing, it appears as if their defensive options are set in stone, while their search for an attacker is obvious from their ongoing pursuits of Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola.
As for their midfield, Dom Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch will play most of the important games, while Trey Nyoni’s emergence in pre-season is a big boost.
Inter Milan’s pursuit of Curtis Jones, however, throws a spanner in the works of their midfield options as if he leaves, the Reds will be desperately short of options.
And Fabrizio Romano’s ‘here we go’ for Davide Frattesi’s move to Lazio is a sign that the Serie A champions are going to make another effort to sign Jones.
Various reports have confirmed that Inter will make a move for Jones after confirming Frattesi’s sale.
And now, Romano has confirmed that he will indeed move to Lazio on an initial loan deal with a mandatory buy clause.
The Italian wrote on X: “Lazio agree deal to sign Davide Frattesi from Inter, here we go!
“Italian midfielder set to join on €1m loan and €14m buy option clause to become mandatory based on appearances on Lazio’s Serie A final position.
“Inter also maintain a 50% sell-on clause.”
Now, what does this mean for Jones? Once Frattesi’s transfer is officially confirmed, the Italian giants will make a move for Jones.
