Former Alabama DB Terrion Arnold reportedly signing with new NFL team after being cut from…

Former Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold is set to sign with a new NFL team, nearly a month and a half after felony charges stemming from his alleged connection to a February robbery and kidnapping led to his release from the Detroit Lions.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Arnold is signing with the Seattle Seahawks, the defending Super Bowl champions. Per Schefter, Arnold visited with the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, and New York Giants before opting to join Seattle.

Once Arnold officially signs, he could be placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, said Schefter. While there, he would remain suspended with pay while not counting against the Seahawks’ active roster.

Arnold, one of the top defensive backs in the country at Alabama, was taken by the Lions in the 2024 NFL Draft with the 24th overall pick. He totaled 60 tackles and 10 pass deflections as a rookie while starting all but two games. In 2025, he was limited to eight games due to a shoulder injury.

In June, however, Arnold was arrested on eight felony counts after being named as the alleged leader of a Florida abduction and armed robbery. If convicted, he could face a life sentence in prison. The Lions released Arnold shortly after his arrest.
