Lions predicted to sign four-time Pro Bowler after Terrion Arnold news

Lions predicted to sign four-time Pro Bowler after Terrion Arnold news image

The Detroit Lions roster likely isn't set at the moment, something the organization will have to figure out over the next few weeks.

With the entire Terrion Arnold situation, there's certainly a possibility that the Lions want to improve in the secondary. Fortunately for them, there are still some proven veterans out there who could come in and make a decent impact, even if they're far from what they once were.

One player in particular who can make a ton of sense to pursue is Marshon Lattimore. Lattimore has been around this league for quite some time, and again, while he isn't what he once was, he's still a respected veteran who could be of use in Detroit. That's why one NFL writer recently predicted that he would end up with the Lions.

“Phew, this has been the offseason from hell for the Detroit Lions. They already had a major need at cornerback before they waived Terrion Arnold. Without him, they need even more help. Opposite of D.J. Reed right now is rookie Keith Abney II. While throwing him to the wolves might expedite his development, it won’t help Detroit become contenders in the NFC again. Marshon Lattimore is an injury liability, but the Lions aren’t in a position to be picky,” Wynston Wilcox wrote.

As Wilcox touched on, the Lions aren't in a position where they can be too picky.

This is a team with Super Bowl aspirations and simply just needs a guy who they can trust back there. Lattimore does have his fair share of injury problems, but when he's on the field, he's above average, and that isn't something the Lions currently have at the moment.
