Everton learn Palace full-back price — and it’s a bargain

**[Everton](https://ReadEverton.com) have been given a figure to work with in their pursuit of Daniel Munoz, and it could make David Moyes’ right-back search a lot cheaper than expected.**

Crystal Palace are willing to sell the Colombia international for around £20-25m, according to reporting from Alan Nixon and TEAMtalk, with personal terms reportedly not expected to be a sticking point.

Sky Sports have also reported interest separately, with Moyes said to be driving the move personally, which flies in the face of previous reports of the Scot not being supportive of the move.

The 30-year-old has become available after Palace agreed a deal for Union Saint-Gilloise right-back Anan Khalaili, freeing up space in Pierre Sage’s defensive plans — though it’s Nottingham Forest, managed bt ex-Palace manager Oliver Glasner, who represent Everton’s biggest competition for Munoz.

Munoz would clearly address a problem that’s dogged Everton all summer.

Seamus Coleman’s departure left Nathan Patterson as the club’s only recognised senior right-back, with Jake O’Brien and Merlin Rohn both filling in out of position for large parts of pre-season.

Moyes had also explored Celtic’s Alistair Johnston, but that move has stalled over valuation and, now, the player being injured.

Everton have already done business with Palace once this window, bringing in Brennan Johnson as part of the swap deal that sent Dwight McNeil to Selhurst Park. It was during those talks, per TEAMtalk, that Everton were first made aware Munoz could be open to a move.

With the Colombian fresh off a strong World Cup and two years still to run on his Palace contract, the ball is in Everton’s court on whether to move quickly.
