West Ham are in talks over a permanent move for Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson for just £3m, according to BBC reporter Sami Mokbel.
West Ham are keen to give Nuno Espirito Santo a squad capable of securing an immediate return to the Premier League. The Hammers are looking to strengthen their options out wide, with long-term target Reiss Nelson among the players being considered.

The 26-year-old is down the pecking order at Arsenal and has 12 months left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium. West Ham have already brought in Manor Solomon and now they may be closing in on a 2nd addition in wide areas.

Nelson came through the Arsenal academy, impressing for the U21s before making his breakthrough on loan at TSG Hoffenheim. He was tipped for a future in the first team, but never established himself as a regular.
That has led to several more loan spells since his time in Germany. Nelson joined Brentford for the 2025/26 campaign, having previously spent time with Fulham and Feyenoord.
The West Ham target can operate on either flank and offers different qualities depending on where he plays. From the left, he tends to cut inside onto his stronger right foot to shoot or create, while on the right he is more direct, using his pace and dribbling to attack the byline.
Nelson has never played in the Championship, but his experience at a higher level should stand him in good stead. His versatility and pedigree could make him a strong option for West Ham as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion.
The Verdict: Nelson is the perfect third wide option for West Ham
With Solomon already signed, and Jarrod Bowen staying this season, West Ham’s starting wingers are likely set in stone.
However, bringing in Nelson is still an excellent move for WHUFC. Should one of Bowen or Solomon get injured, they need an adequate replacement and the Arsenal man is just that.
