Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign highly rated Liverpool striker Vincent Joseph as the Gunners continue to strengthen their academy with some of the best young talent in England.
Joseph, 16, has decided to leave Liverpool after turning down scholarship terms at Anfield.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal now have an agreement in place with the England youth international, while the two clubs are discussing the compensation package required to complete the move.
If Arsenal and Liverpool cannot agree a figure, the fee would instead be determined by a tribunal because of Joseph’s age and Liverpool’s role in his development.

Joseph has developed a significant reputation at youth level.
The striker scored eight goals in nine appearances for England Under-16s during the 2025/26 season and also made an immediate impact after stepping up to Liverpool’s Under-18 side.
He scored three times across his first two U18 Premier League appearances, including a goal just minutes into his debut and a brace against Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool hoped to retain Joseph and offered him scholarship terms, but the youngster opted to pursue a new challenge.
Chelsea and Manchester United had also shown interest, according to reports, before Joseph chose Arsenal.
The move continues a clear academy recruitment drive in north London.
Arsenal have also agreed moves for Crystal Palace prospect Mylo Bernard and Cardiff City’s Axel Donczew, while Elijah Upson has arrived from Tottenham.
That work comes as Arsenal look to build another generation capable of following the pathway created by Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Max Dowman.
Joseph is still only 16 and should therefore be viewed as a long-term addition rather than an immediate first-team option.
But beating several major Premier League rivals to one of Liverpool’s most highly rated academy forwards represents another significant piece of business for Arsenal’s youth set-up.
