According to transfer insider Franchise (@franchisexcl), sporting director Andrea Berta is said to be a big admirer of the Nigerian striker. The thinking inside the club is that Arsenal want a centre forward who is tall and comfortable linking up play, essentially the same profile Kai Havertz has provided, but with a more clinical edge in front of goal. Osimhen, with his combination of physical presence and finishing quality, is seen as ticking that box.

Reporting from French journalist Sébastien Denis backs this up, describing Arsenal as pushing hard for the striker and framing it as a top priority request from Mikel Arteta himself. The suggestion is that there is genuine confidence within the club that a deal can be completed before the transfer window shuts.
On the financial side, Galatasaray have not fixed an exact asking price, but the expectation is that they will want to recoup close to their original outlay, thought to be in the region of seventy million euros. That being said, there was a recent €130m bid from Al-Hilal scoffed off by Gala for the 27-year-old.

Galatasaray are reported to hold interest in both Gabriel Jesus and Kepa Arrizabalaga, two players who have found themselves further down the pecking order at Arsenal. Whether that interest ends up feeding into any Osimhen negotiation as a separate transaction, or purely as a coincidence of two clubs doing business at the same time, remains to be seen.
