Everton linked with FC Köln defender amid German reports
Everton have been credited with interest in FC Köln centre-back Rav van den Berg, according to a report from German outlet fussballdaten.de, though the claim currently rests on that single source and hasn’t been corroborated elsewhere.
The report, via transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, names Everton alongside West Ham, Atalanta and Fiorentina as clubs monitoring the 22-year-old Dutchman, with Köln’s valuation put in the region of €15-20m.
Van den Berg is under contract at the RheinEnergieSTADION until 2030, and Köln are said to be in no rush to sell, preferring to let his value continue to rise.
The 6ft3in defender moved to Köln from Middlesbrough in a deal worth up to £11.2m in August 2025, having previously come through Zwolle’s academy in the Netherlands. He’s a Netherlands under-21 international and the younger brother of Brentford’s Sepp van den Berg.
There’s no prior reporting linking Everton to the player, and no move up the food chain — from established outlets such as Sky Sports, The Athletic or Fabrizio Romano — to back the claim up as things stand.
Given that this is an early-stage link rather than an active pursuit, it may be worth watching once (or if) other outlets pick it up.
Everton’s more advanced business remains at right-back, where the Daniel Munoz saga is further along the track.
