Liverpool player‘continues to fill social media’with transfer hints

With Inter Milan keen on Liverpool‘s Curtis Jones, the midfielder is also keen for a transfer to the Italian champions.

Sport Witness have regularly covered how the Nerazzurri made an initial offer two months ago. This was rejected promptly by the Reds, who want over €30m for his sale.

Despite the disappointment, Inter haven’t given up on the transfer. They have continued to assess Jones’ situation, especially as his current deal runs out in the summer of 2027.

Now the player is softly pushing for a transfer away from Liverpool.

Deal still possible this month

Friday’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport states Inter are currently waiting for the right time to make another offer for Jones. The move is in a ‘phase of study’, as Inter know that Liverpool’s demands were too high during the previous negotiations.

Time could be the Nerazzurri’s friend. They are waiting on sales and this will hand them the finances needed. Once both Davide Frattesi and Luis Henrique leave, the chances of signing the 25-year-old will ‘greatly increase’.

In the meantime, Jones ‘continues to fill social media’ with his engagement around Inter. He has liked several posts on the club’s Instagram account, which is seen as a big sign that he wants a transfer.

A final agreement could be struck for a fee between €30m and €35m. Liverpool’s demand for a sell-on clause is key and this aspect still needs to be worked on.

Our take: Player should look at other clubs

If Curtis Jones joins Inter, he would be a replacement for Davide Frattesi. The Italian was never a big part of the project last season and played less than 1000 minutes in all competitions.

Jones could meet the same fate and be far from a regular.

That is why he should consider other clubs too. They could offer him regular first-team football and a leading role in the project. If not, he could yet stay at Liverpool and prove himself under Andoni Iraola.
