Arsenal have reportedly been approached over a potential loan deal for Ethan Nwaneri as AC Milan rival Galatasaray for his signature.
That’s according to journalist Sebastien Vidal on X, with the Gunners seemingly offered an initial loan with a view to a permanent €40m transfer.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal will agree to let Nwaneri go for that kind of offer, with our recent information being that he was now more likely to stay at the Emirates Stadium despite doubts over his future in recent months.
Still, see below for the latest on Nwaneri’s future, which also follows BBC Sport mentioning that there is plenty of interest in the 19-year-old this summer…
“AC Milan makes a move for Ethan Nwaneri. The Rossoneri have offered Arsenal a loan deal with a 40 M€ buy option. Ruben Amorim wants to bring the young English midfielder to Italy. Galatasaray is also following the file,” Vidal posted.
The talented young Englishman is a product of Arsenal’s academy, and he made his Premier League debut for the club when he was still only 15 back in 2022/23.
Since then, however, things have been a little up-and-down for Nwaneri, so a departure might make sense this summer as he could struggle to play regularly for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Should Arsenal keep or sell Ethan Nwaneri?
Arsenal fans will surely be hoping to see this talented homegrown player sticking around for a bit longer, but there’s also little point in keeping him if he won’t get on the pitch very often.
Nwaneri has had a good pre-season with Arsenal, but this follows a tough spell on loan at Marseille in the second half of last season.

Nwaneri wasn’t seeing much playing time for the Gunners and that continued in his spell in Ligue 1, so it remains to be seen how well he can bounce back from all this.
There’s clearly plenty of talent there, but Arsenal are also well-stocked on similar attacking midfield players, so letting him go might also make sense from a business point of view.
