Xavier Parker playing for Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup
Manchester City starlet Xavier Parker has agreed a new long-term contract with the club, talkSPORT understands.
The 16-year-old is considered one of Europe's top emerging talents, and had been attracting interest from rivals Manchester United and Liverpool.

Xavier Parker is set to end speculation over his future
Parker's previous terms with the Citizens expired this summer, leading to speculation he could be on the move.
However, the highly-rated teenager is now set to commit his long-term future at the Etihad, having recently been given a taste of senior football.
He travelled with the first team on City's pre-season tour of Asia, where he was the youngest player in the squad.
Since Enzo Maresca's side returned to the UK ahead of Sunday's Community Shield meeting with Arsenal, Parker has continued to train with the first team group.
The young midfielder will sign scholarship terms before moving to a full professional contract upon his 17th birthday.
Hard sell
Parker is said to have impressed new City boss Maresca in recent weeks, and appears to have been won over by the Italian.
According to the Athletic, the youngster was taken aback by his head coach's knowledge of him, who was intent on convincing him to stay.
Maresca reportedly oversaw an individual presentation given to Parker in a bid to keep him at the club.

And it might not be long before he gets his chance under the ex-Chelsea boss, with the talented teen expected to feature for City's Under-21 team this campaign and make his senior first-team debut.

He was part of a young City side that retained their Under-18 Premier League North title, alongside winning the FA Youth Cup.
In this success, Parker scored six goals and provided seven assists across 21 appearances.
Next success story?
Born in London, Parker signed for Man City in 2024 after excelling in West Ham's academy.
He was the second starlet to swap the Hammers' famous 'Academy of Football' for the north west that summer, after Divin Mubama made the same move - who recently joined promotion-chasing Southampton on loan in the Championship.
And there are now high hopes that Parker will be yet another success story to come out of City's impressive youth system.
Phil Foden and Cole Palmer are the standout academy graduates to become household names, with Nico O'Reilly the latest star to burst onto the scene.

After a breakthrough 2025/25 campaign, versatile left-back O'Reilly was named in Thomas Tuchel's England World Cup squad, going on to feature in seven of their games.
Foden is the biggest success story to emerge from the City youth ranks, becoming one of the most decorated English players after winning 19 major trophies with his boyhood club.
Meanwhile Palmer has established himself as a Premier League star since leaving the Etihad for Chelsea in 2023 for a £40million fee.
With Parker looking to follow in their footsteps, it is not yet known if he will be involved for City's upcoming Community Shield clash.
