The Tennessee Titans are heading back to Nashville after their 19-13 victory against the San Francisco 49ers inside Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
The Titans learned a lot about themselves through the joint practices and preseason contest, which they can now use to apply to the rest of training camp.

The Titans came out on top with a 19-13 victory, but the starting offense struggled, including quarterback Cam Ward, who completed five of 12 passes for just 57 yards. Ward could have had a better showing, but the team will learn from their mistakes and take it to their next game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Titans now have a litmus test for where they are against another opponent, and it is not in a place they want to be. They played a tough opponent in the Niners, but the starters need to make some changes if they are not satisfied with how they performed.
The Titans’ defense had no answers for second-round rookie Dajon Stribling in the contest. Stribling was one of the stars of the game, with seven catches for 463 yards on eight targets. He has the potential to truly break out for the Niners this season.
Like the Titans, the 49ers did not have the kind of showing they were hoping for either. They suffered even more injuries, and that only adds to the loss.
