Chelsea winger Ryan Kavuma-McQueen will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at Championship club Portsmouth.
Kavuma-McQueen joined the Blues as an Under-8 and, having progressed through our Academy ranks, made his first-team debut as a substitute in the 7-0 win over Port Vale in last season’s FA Cup quarter-finals.
The 17-year-old was also included in Xabi Alonso's squad for our summer tour of Australia and Asia, starting in our opening fixture, a 6-4 victory over A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers.
Kavuma-McQueen became a regular for Chelsea Under-18s while still a schoolboy and played an important role for our Under-21s as we finished top of the Premier League 2 table in 2025/26. He also scored twice in the Under-18 Premier League national final win over Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
