Liverpool transfer news as massive £60m bid received for attacker
Things are heating up for Liverpool as the summer transfer window draws to a dramatic climax.

Tottenham make official offer to sign Cody Gakpo from Liverpool
Soccer News NL report that Spurs have made an offer in excess of £60m to sign Gakpo, who has a broad agreement on personal terms with the Premier League side.
Judging by the reporting, the Dutch international is open to a move to Tottenham if Liverpool sanction the deal.

The report also states that their first bid is expected to be rejected as the Reds are holding out for more money.
If Liverpool get a massive fee for Gakpo, it would make sense to part with him. But it would also leave Iraola and co with too much work to do towards the back end of the transfer window as they need not one but two attackers.
