August 14 – Manchester City have added Turkish e-commerce platform Trendyol to their commercial portfolio, naming the company as the club’s Official Online Marketplace Partner.
The agreement gives Trendyol access to City’s digital and social platforms, branding at the Etihad Stadium and rights to create club-specific content and campaigns – the focus being to use City’s brand to push outside of its own domestic market.
Trendyol is no stranger to football sponsorship, especially on home soil. It is the title sponsor of both the Turkish Süper Lig and First League and also backs the Turkish national teams.
It was also an Official Partner of Euro 2024.
The Manchester City agreement gives the company a more global football property as it looks to expand internationally, particularly across the Gulf – where City’s ownership group are from – and other growth markets.

Manchester City will face Arsenal in the FA Community Shield on Sunday as the curtain raiser to the competitive season. Equipped with a new-look midfield and commander from the dugout, this is the first glimpse of a new era for the club and how it will fare without its legendary Guardiola direction.
They could also be without star striker Erling Haaland, who only returned to training yesterday after a prolonged holiday after his World Cup performances. That said, the Norwegian is still likely feature in some capacity, though the Citizens have €75million Omar Marmoush to fall back on.
