Do Raiders have anyone worth giving contract extension now?

There has been an onslaught of players around the NFL getting contracts in recent weeks.

It’s been nearly a daily occurrence. Does that mean the Las Vegas Raiders will soon join the extension signing party? Sure, it’s possible, but the Raiders really don’t have a lot of players who are entering the final year of their contract to make a priority.

**Here are the Raiders’ current 2027 unrestricted free agents (UFA):**

Quarterback Kirk Cousins isn’t a pending free agent, but he is fully expected to be relelsed next year.

As it stands today, let’s break down Las Vegas’ current 15 pending unrestricted free agents (Cousins not included).

So, there aren’t a lot of obvious extension candidates. I’d say Chinn could be a possiblity. He is a solid play and a he is still in his prime. I know the Raiders drafted two safeties, so they may not feel an urge to secure Chinn beyond this year, though.

Players such as Booker, Burford, Gay, Koonce, Mayer and Tucker could get consideration for extensions now, but the team may want to see them all perform some during the season to make those decisions.

Of course, the big extension looming for the team is for superstar tight end Brock Bowers. However, he won’t be eligible to re-sign until after his this season.
