**Gabriel Martinelli has told Arsenal he has no interest in joining Galatasaray despite the Turkish champions submitting a €45million (£38m) offer for the winger.**
Arsenal received the proposal earlier this week as Galatasaray stepped up their pursuit of the Brazil international.
The Gunners are open to selling Martinelli if a suitable offer arrives, but the player’s position has now created a major obstacle to the proposed move.
[**David Ornstein reports for The Athletic**](https://x.com/David_Ornstein/status/2088290972920688746) that Martinelli’s camp have informed Arsenal that Galatasaray are not an option for the 25-year-old.
The development significantly changes the picture after Galatasaray made their formal €45m approach.

The club remain prepared to trade the winger if an acceptable proposal arrives, according to Ornstein, but any transfer also requires Martinelli to approve his destination.
Galatasaray are therefore unlikely to progress their pursuit unless the player’s stance changes.
The Guardian has also reported that Martinelli is not keen on joining the Turkish champions, despite Arsenal being prepared to consider his departure this summer.
That does not necessarily mean Martinelli will remain at the Emirates.
Arsenal’s willingness to listen to suitable offers leaves the door open to other clubs, and the winger has previously attracted interest from elsewhere in Europe.
Mikel Arteta has also continued reshaping his attacking options this summer, with Christos Tzolis increasing competition on the left.
The immediate Galatasaray situation, however, now appears much clearer.
Arsenal may be willing to negotiate. Martinelli is not willing to make that particular move.
With the transfer window still open, attention will now turn to whether another club makes an offer capable of satisfying both Arsenal and the player.
