Burnley have announced their second signing of the day as Dastan Satpayev joins on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

The 18-year-old forward headed to Stamford Bridge in the summer after impressing in Kazakhstan and spent time around Xabi Alonso's squad during pre-season.

He is the youngest ever player to represent Kazakhstan on the international stage and already has nine caps to his name.

"I'm very pleased to be here. It's a great opportunity for me in my career and a great club to show what I can do and help the team get back to where they belong," said the new recruit.

"It's my first time playing in England and I'm ready now to take on the next chapter and have a successful time with Burnley."

Satpayev came through the ranks at Kairat Almaty, making his first team debut in 2024.

He made his international debut the following year and also became the first player from Kazakhstan to play in the Champions League, coming up against the likes of Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

Satpayev scored his first Champions League goal against FC Copenhagen and also got on the scoresheet for his country in a World Cup qualifier against Belgium.

He now links up with Nicky Hayen's squad ahead of the new Championship season, which kicks off against West Ham United on Sunday.

Earlier today, the Clarets confirmed the signing of defender Max Alleyne on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
