Liverpool could be forced into action in the transfer market, with Premier League rival Arsenal eyeing up a star who could make their way to Anfield this summer.

The transfer window continues to provide twists and turns this summer, with Liverpool's business potentially impacted by Premier League rival Arsenal.
The two teams have already crossed paths several times in the market, particularly when it comes to potential winger options, with both clubs looking out for new forwards. That has seen both of them target a deal for PSG's Bradley Barcola, after it became clear that the French international was available in the remaining weeks of the market.
While both teams have shown interest, it's Liverpool that is pushing on to complete a deal for the 23-year-old, while Arsenal is seemingly looking out for other options at its disposal.
It's unclear whether that could change in the final few weeks, but it's another target on the radar of the Gunners that could shake up the Reds' transfer plans.
That's because, according to Sky Sports, Arsenal is showing interest in former Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah, with talks underway over a potential deal this summer.
It's claimed that Bayer Leverkusen is holding out for a large fee, more than the club paid last summer, for the German outfit to consider a possible sale.
That could impact the approach for Liverpool, as the Merseyside outfit has a buy-back clause in the star's deal that could allow him to return to Anfield for $80 million.
It's already been claimed that Quansah has agreed the terms of a contract at Liverpool, should the club trigger the clause in the final few weeks of the market, lining up a return that could bolster the backline.

Considering that buyback option, the Reds will need to make an immediate decision on the defender. Should they make a move or let him join their rival?
The 23-year-old covers both the centre-back and right-back positions that have become such a problem in the past year, with Andoni Iraola in need of some options across the backline.
However, a deal wouldn't be cheap, and considering the recent signing of Ronald Araujo, the low-cost and low-risk option is already at the club.
With an approach for at least one winger, if not two, on the cards, it is unclear whether there would be the funds available to get a transfer over the line.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool takes the short-term or long-term approach, with Arsenal putting pressure on the club to make one of two decisions.
