COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Broncos Country is ready for another season of football, and fans in Colorado Springs say they have high expectations for the Denver Broncos this year.
The Broncos enter the 2026 season looking to build on a strong 2025 campaign that ended one win short of the Super Bowl.
For longtime fan Sue, expectations are simple.
“I am so excited because we have such an awesome team that it’s going to be unbelievable for everybody,” she said.
Fans are especially excited to see what quarterback Bo Nix can do in his third season.
Nix is coming off a breakout sophomore campaign, while the Broncos also added wide receiver Jaylen Waddle to an offense that fans believe has the pieces to make another postseason run.
“I think we just have a better team and so I’m really excited to watch what Bo will do and Jaylen Waddle, I think will be a great new weapon for him,” fan Tanner Moffitt said.
The Broncos’ success last season has also raised expectations heading into 2026.
“I guarantee you they’re going to make it to the Super Bowl,” Sue said. “And I pray to God that they make it to the Super Bowl because Bo Nix and the rest of that team, Pat Surtain, all of them, they deserve it.”
Other fans are taking a more measured approach, but still believe Denver has what it takes to reach the big game.
Longtime fan Jacob Raedel said simply reaching the Super Bowl would be a step forward from last season.
“If they make it to the Super Bowl and don’t win, that’s perfectly fine with me,” Raedel said. “Obviously, if they win, that’s great, but if they can get there, that’s a step up from last year.”
And if the Broncos do make it to the Super Bowl, fans already have plans for how they will celebrate.
Moffitt said he would throw a huge party.
Raedel had a much bigger promise.
“If they go to the Super Bowl, I’m gonna have a kid,” he said.
As the Broncos begin another season, fans say the excitement is already here, and they’re hoping it lasts all the way to the Super Bowl.
