Liverpool is navigating a busy final fortnight of the summer transfer window, with both incomings and outgoings expected as Andoni Iraola looks to make some late additions to his squad

The Premier League kicks off in less than a week. Yet for a particular cohort of fans, there's an impending melancholy as transfer window enthusiasts acknowledge the deadline is rapidly approaching.
Trading officially commenced for Premier League sides on Monday, June 15 before the window closes on Tuesday, September 1 at 11pm.
Time is running out for clubs to complete any remaining business, then. Having invested nearly $609 million (£450M) in fresh recruits and witnessed approximately $304 million (£225M) worth of talent leave last summer, the Reds have understandably adopted a more conservative approach with their spending this time round.
However, new head coach Andoni Iraola has acknowledged that strengthening is required if Liverpool is to once more challenge those competing at the summit of the division, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Outgoings
Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate all left on free transfers when last season concluded, alongside academy products Rhys Williams and James Balagizi.
The sole player to generate a fee thus far is Luca Stephenson, who secured a $947,000 (£700,000) switch to Championship new boys Bolton Wanderers, while another midfielder, Tommy Pilling, has relocated to Slovakian outfit MFK Zemplin Michalovce.
Mounting conjecture surrounds several senior squad members with barely a fortnight left in the window. Curtis Jones remains on Inter Milan's radar, with Galatasaray also having previously expressed interest.

Liverpool is seeking more than $41M (£30M) for a player whose contract expires next summer, with Harvey Elliott facing a similar contractual situation. Sunderland and Leeds United have been mentioned as potential suitors.
Joe Gomez, Wataru Endo, Kostas Tsimikas, Stefan Bajcetic, Virgil van Dijk, Calvin Ramsay and Alisson Becker all find themselves in the final 12 months of their current agreements. Ramsay and Bajcetic may be permitted temporary moves away, but the others are anticipated to play key roles for Iraola this campaign.
Speculation surrounding Alexis Mac Allister's departure - he has two years remaining on his deal - has subsided in recent weeks with the player having now returned to the AXA Training Centre following the World Cup. Cody Gakpo, meanwhile, has been a long-standing target of Tottenham Hotspur, though no formal approach has materialized to date.
Liverpool is actively arranging loan moves for several Academy prospects, with midfielder James McConnell believed to be nearing a switch to Championship outfit Preston North End.

Ifeanyi Ndukwe, the 18-year-old center-back who has made a significant impression during pre-season following his $3.5M (£2.6M) arrival from Austria Vienna, cannot feature for Liverpool in competitive fixtures this year and is attracting loan interest from clubs across Denmark, Portugal, Spain, Belgium and France.
Liverpool is bracing itself for interest — whether on a temporary or permanent basis — in Lewis Koumas, who came close to linking up with Craig Bellamy at Burnley before the Wales head coach's proposed move to Turf Moor fell through.
Keyrol Figueroa is attracting loan interest from several clubs, amongst them League One outfit Barnsley and League Two pair Salford City and Shrewsbury Town, while the Reds also expect Jayden Danns to generate considerable attention upon his return from injury later this month. Kornel Misciur, the 18-year-old Academy goalkeeper, has already drawn enquiries from a number of non-league clubs.
Several loan arrangements have already been finalised. Armin Pecsi and midfielder Kyle Kelly are set to spend the campaign at Austrian side TSV Hartberg and National League outfit Forest Green Rovers respectively, while defender Amara Nallo has joined Finnish club HJK Helsinki for the remainder of the year.
Incomings
Victor Munoz arrived in June when Liverpool triggered his $47M (£34.5M) release clause at Osasuna, while 21-year-old center-back Jeremy Jacquet officially completed his switch from Rennes following a $81M (£60M) agreement reached earlier in the year.
After Iraola made plain that Liverpool was short of defensive cover, the Reds moved swiftly last week to secure Barcelona club captain Ronald Araujo on a season-long loan, with an option to purchase for $64M (£47M). Liverpool remains in the market for a winger, having been prepared to shell out $115M (£86M) for 19-year-old Yan Diomande, only for RB Leipzig to demand in excess of $135M (£100M), while it also emerged that the player himself favored a switch to Paris Saint-Germain before eventually sealing a move to Real Madrid.
The Reds made an approach for Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche earlier in the transfer window, with the Frenchman ultimately opting for PSG, while Liverpool had also been weighing up a move for Anthony Gordon prior to his switch to Barcelona.

Brighton's Yanbuka Minteh, Said El Mala of Koln and Lille's Matias Fernandez-Pardo have all been scouted, yet PSG forward Bradley Barcola has risen to the top of Liverpool's wishlist, with negotiations already under way. Barcola is believed to be receptive to the move, though Liverpool would need PSG to soften their asking price of at least $176M (£130M).
While Liverpool remain open to further reinforcements in both attack and midfield, much will hinge on whether any first-team players are offloaded in the coming weeks.
The club has also been actively strengthening its academy setup, with 17-year-old Colombian attacking midfielder Samuel Martinez completing a $1M (£750,000) agreement that will see him arrive next summer, alongside a number of additions across the lower Academy age groups.
