Not to say Tom Brady's relationship with the [New England Patriots](https://nesn.com/new-england-patriots) isn't great, but it obviously isn't what it once was. Brady, now a broadcaster and working in other avenues in the NFL, hasn't shown New England much love in recent years.
That only became an even bigger issue when Brady was asked who he thought would win the Super Bowl last season between the Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. Instead of picking a side, Brady took it a step further and said that he didn't have a dog in the fight.
“I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one. May the best team win,” Brady [said](https://heavy.com/sports/nfl/new-england-patriots/mike-vrabel-tom-brady-super-bowl/) on the “Let’s Go!” SiriusXM, H/T Heavy’s Jon Vankin.
Speaking to reporters about that on Friday, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel didn't sound too upset about it. Brady is in a different part of his career and has to show no favoritism.
“Clearly Tom’s gone out of his way to make it known that he’s trying to, you know — he has a new job and a new role and, you know, it is really what it is,” Vrabel said Friday on WEEI’s Greg Hill Show, as quoted by NBC Sports’ Mike Florio.
“Tom’s a friend, he’ll always be a friend. He was a former teammate, but, I mean, he’s made it clear, like, ‘I’m doing something new now.'”
It's always weird when players transition into different roles in the NFL, especially one as involved with the Las Vegas Raiders and as a broadcaster.
However, Brady has explored other opportunities, and New England has to deal with that.
