This time next week, the Premier League season will be underway, with the trials and tribulations of the biggest league in the world to come alongside it. But in the meantime, clubs across the Premier League and beyond are scrambling to get as much business done as possible.
There have been some big-money moves confirmed already this summer, with Morgan Rogers to Chelsea, Elliot Anderson to Manchester City and Bruno Guimaraes to Arsenal chief among them. But all of the major players in the Premier League are still being linked with players, and time is running out for them to get deals across the line.
Manchester United boss Michael Carrick confirmed his side are eyeing up deals between now and deadline day, while across town, City's rebuild post-Pep Guardiola continues. Arsenal and Liverpool both want forward additions, as do Tottenham, who have been tipped to sign two attackers before deadline day.
Man Utd secure Lewis Hall breakthrough
Manchester United have secured a Lewis Hall breakthrough.
The Red Devils have identified Hall as a long-term option at left-back.
It was reported that Newcastle had no intention of selling the Englishman after such a tumultuous summer.
However, it's reported by The Sun that United have secured a breakthrough as Hall is said to be open to joining United.
While Newcastle are still insistent he isn't for sale, Hall's willingness to leave could force the Magpies hand.
It's been said that around £60million could tempt Newcastle into a sale.
