Chelsea have officially completed the signing of Kazakhstan international Dastan Satpayev from FC Kairat, with the highly rated teenager immediately joining Championship side Burnley on a season-long loan for the 2026/27 campaign.
The move represents the next major step in the 18-year-old’s rapidly developing career after Chelsea secured his long-awaited transfer from Kairat. Satpayev has committed his long-term future to the Blues, with the club handing him a contract running until 2033.
Rather than remaining around CHELSEA‘s first-team squad, however, Satpayev will now head to Turf Moor, where he will be given the opportunity to adapt to English football and compete regularly against experienced Championship defenders.
It is a challenge the forward is clearly relishing. Speaking to Burnley’s official website, Satpayev outlined his ambitions: “I’m very pleased to be here. It’s a great opportunity for me in my career and a great club to show what I can do and help the team get back to where they belong.”
He further underlined his readiness for the test at Turf Moor: “It’s my first time playing in England and I’m ready now to take on the next chapter and have a successful time with Burnley.”

At 18, the most important thing is playing competitive senior football. Burnley offers him the chance to experience the physicality, intensity and consistency required to succeed in English football.
There will undoubtedly be difficult moments, but those experiences could accelerate his development far more than another season spent primarily in youth football.
Just as importantly, Satpayev appears to have the right mentality. His excitement about the move, combined with his desire to contribute to Burnley’s promotion ambitions, suggests he is embracing the challenge rather than simply viewing the loan as a temporary stop.
CHELSEA clearly have high hopes for the Kazakhstan international. Now, Burnley gives Satpayev the platform to turn that potential into consistent performances.
