Liverpool could lose one or two key first-team players between now and the end of the summer transfer window.
Curtis Jones has been linked with a move to Inter Milan, who are expected to make another move to secure his signature after Davide Frattesi’s move to Lazio is confirmed.
We reported on Read Liverpool that Cody Gakpo is wanted by Tottenham, with the Dutchman valued at around £72m this summer.
And now, Fabrizio Romano has appeared to suggest that he has already agreed personal terms to move to North London.
Cody Gakpo agrees personal terms with Tottenham
Romano confirmed that personal terms will not be an issue for Bradley Barcola’s move to Liverpool, as is the case for Gakpo to Tottenham.
He wrote on X: “No issues on personal terms for both Barcola-Liverpool and Gakpo-Tottenham deals.
“Both depend on financial agreements between the clubs involved. #LFC are working to get Barcola and #THFC are working to get Gakpo.”

This is actually a much bigger update than Liverpool fans will be willing to admit as the Dutchman agreeing terms with Tottenham very clearly shows that he is open to a transfer.
There are a lot of moving parts, so we can never be sure, but Liverpool signing Barcola and then sanctioning a deal to allow Gakpo to join Tottenham seems like the most plausible outcome.
