NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - It might’ve been only a preseason game in the Caesars Superdome, but the fireworks came early and often in the New Orleans Saints matchup with the Jaguars.
The Black and Gold led at half, 20-6, but got outscored in the second half 18-0, dropping the contest, 24-20.
Ty Chandler took the opening kickoff 68 yards to the Jacksonville 9-yard line. Very next play, Audric Estime found the end zone for a 9-yard touchdown run.
Well, that was quick.

In the second quarter, Jayden Price intercepted Jaguars quarterback Carter Bradley. The former UFL and CFL player is primed to make the Saints 53-man roster after a strong training camp performance.

Price’s interception led to a Zach Wilson to Oscar Delp 1-yard touchdown. The connection pumped up the Saints advantage over the Jaguars, 17-6.

Wilson finished his day going 11-of-16 passing, for a 145 yards, and a touchdown pass.
Spencer Rattler started at quarterback for the Black and Gold. He finished 8-of-11 passing for 42 yards. One of his drives led to a 49-yard field goal by Tanner Brown.
Next Saturday, the Saints are on the road at the Los Angeles Rams. Kickoff is at 3 p.m., pregame 2:30 p.m.
