Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce didn't feature in his side's preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday.
He wasn't the only Kansas City star to miss out: quarterback Patrick Mahomes didn't play either as he recovers from an ACL tear. Still, Kelce was present for the sideline festivities and was captured by the Chiefs' social media team carrying a drink in his left hand as he walked through the pregame tunnel. "TK on site," the Instagram post read.
Fans were quick to notice that the short video showed Kelce, recently married to Taylor Swift, flexing his wedding band on his left hand.

"Oh, he’s now left-handed like his wife," one fan wrote in the comments, adding a ring emoji. "Bling being wedding ring spotted! First entrance as Tayhusband!!!" another wrote. "-Strategic ring flash like a BOSS! LFG!" one commented.
Others tried to pour water on the choice of hand to hold his drink. "He frequently carries his drink in his left hand, guys, that’s not new," they said.
Kelce and Swift were married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, the home of the reigning NBA champion New York Knicks. Swift was in attendance for Game 4 of that series (a Knicks comeback win).
Speaking with reporters this week at Kansas City minicamp, Kelce said the wedding at Madison Square Garden was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

"It was kind of cool to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, being able to get married there," Kelce told reporters.
"I can't thank the owners of MSG enough for allowing us to get the opportunity to do that, knowing that we wanted a private event and everything, and it was perfect," he added.
Kelce, now 36, hasn't formally announced if the 2026 NFL campaign will be the last in his Pro Football Hall of Fame career.
The three-time Super Bowl winner and four-time First-team All-Pro saw his numbers drop across the board in each of the last two years as he approaches the twilight of his career.
Still, Kelce hauled in over 850 yards for a poor 2025 Chiefs team and will once again serve as one of Mahomes's top pass catchers. Noah Gray and Jared Wiley back him up at tight end on what looks to a be a fairly average depth chart.
